Job Purpose

HQ Location: Moyvalley, Kildare, Ireland / Site Based.

Cloncad is a leading contractor specialising in the provision of electrical, mechanical, maintenance and fitout services to a range of sectors including industrial, commercial, data centres, manufacturing, infrastructure, pharmaceutical and healthcare. 

Description:

The EHS Officer will oversee all aspects of environmental, health, and safety for Cloncad, ensuring compliance with regulations while fostering a safe working environment. This role requires a mix of office-based tasks and site-based presence to manage and monitor EHS initiatives across various electrical contracting projects. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in EHS management, preferably in construction or electrical contracting.

  • EHS Program Development & Implementation.
  • On-Site Safety Oversight.
  • Safety Training & Awareness.
  • Incident & Accident Management.
  • EHS Audits & Reporting.
  • Risk Management & Hazard Mitigation.
  • Compliance Monitoring & Documentation.

Desirable Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in EHS management, ideally within the construction, electrical, or contracting industries.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations.
  • Experience conducting site inspections, audits, and safety training.
  • Ability to identify safety risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHS management software.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

  • This is a full-time role with a combination of office-based work and on-site visits to project locations.
  • Occasional travel to multiple job sites may be required.
