On the 22nd of April under sub-clause 5 (a) of the Covid-19 Act the completion of Tallaght University Hospital Day Care Facility was deemed an essential services project. Cloncad returned back to work early during the lockdown to facilitate the completion of the electrical installation of this vital facility. The new Day Care Facility will provide increased capacity to Tallaght Hospital for many services and procedures which have been cancelled during the lockdown.
When completed the new Day Care Facility will help to reduce the direct use of Tallaght Hospital by a large number of patients by the addition of three new operating theatres and the option of a fourth theatre with some minor fitout.
Cloncad and all our sub-contractors are operating at full capacity on site to deliver the project while at all times adhering to the Government Health and Safety guidelines. This has been achievable by working closely together with the main contractor Townlink and the various other sub-contractors to roll out a very effective safety plan on the management of Covid-19. Cloncad are continuing to keep safety at the forefront while following the CIF’s Covid-19 SOP on this essential services project.
